5-Day clubs week 2 Wednesday post

Club 1

Day 2

We had the two girls who live at the house I am staying at and one other girl who was a bit older. She really loved to ask questions about the bible story and they were really good ones also. She will not be able to come to club Wednesday or Thursday but she really wants to come Friday.

Day 3

Today it was just the 2 girls, they are both amazing and I am going to miss them soo much when I leave Friday. The girls wanted to have more people at the club so they ran inside and got a few of their stuffed animals.

Club 2

Day 2

We had twice as many kids today we went from 6 kids to 13 kids praise God. The kids get so excited for everything, its so great.

Day 3

Now we have 16 kids its soo great J. Its also been nice to just have to teach one or two things each club and today was the only time I had to teach the bible story. Its been a nice brake, even though we have a lot of kids.

Club 3

Day 2

We had one less kid today because he had somewhere to be but he will be back tomorrow. After club I had one of the parents come up to me and ask a question. It was such a gift to share with her the answer to her question.

Day 3

Such an awesome club, I really feel like God has us here not just for the kids but also for the parents. We had a parent come to us today and share with us what her family is going though. They are having medical problems with 2 of their children and the oldest is going to war soon.

Prayer requests

   1)      For more kids at the 1st club
   2)      For all the kids to fall in love with Jesus
   3)       For the family with all the medical issues going on
   4)      For all thoughts who have or are serving in war
   5)      For me to feel better and get my voice back
   6)      Safe drive back home.

Fridays post will come on Saturday because I will be traveling home Friday

5-Day clubs week 2 Monday post

This week I am up in the Sheboygan area for 5-day clubs and I am teaching with a friend from the Milwaukee area. We are staying at a family’s house and they are very nice people. They have 4 children boys ages 17, and15 and girls ages 10, and 7.

Club one

This club is held at the house I am staying at, we had 4 children today and it was a pretty great club. Two of the kids are part of the family im staying with so they both know a lot about Jesus and the bible and it seems like the other two children do also, they are just very shy.

Club two

This is what they call a SAS-5 (summer after School) it is run differently so it will take some getting used to. These kids don’t seem to know as much so that just means we get to teach moreJ. They had about 6 kids and they normally have around 30 so they are praying for more kids.

Club three

This was held at a family home and we had 7 children. One of the little girls likes to tell us things about the bible as fact and there not always true. Like God made a rule that you can’t drive faster than your garden angel can fly because you will crash and die and another one was God watches us from the sun that’s why its soo bright.

This looks like its going to be a fun week, and im excited to meet the new children God will bring to the clubs. I also feel very accomplished for having driven on the high way all the way to Sheboygan. Thank you too all who prayed.

Prayer requests
   1)      For more children at all the clubs
   2)      For kids to come to know Jesus as their savor
   3)      For safe travels since this is a new area for me
   4)      Praise God for making it safely to Sheboygan
   5)      For save travels Friday on my way back to Kenosha.
   6)      that we can make it to clubs on time.

Deuteronomy 6:6-9 And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise.  You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes.  You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.

5-Day clubs Week one Friday post

Club 1

It was just the two girls all week long and we all had a great time. It really looks like the one going in to 6th grade is wanting to be a jr missionary next year how exciting. J And the one who is going in to 5th grade wants to do it the following year. J so very exciting.

Club 2

We had 4 kids total in this club come to know Jesus as there savior and assured two in their faith Praise God. We had a total of 23 kids enrolled in this club and we had several new ones today (Friday). Im going to miss all of them, they keep on asking if we were coming back tomorrow. When I was leading one of the little boys to Christ the other day, I asked him after he prayed what did God just do for you and with a big smile on his face he said “he forgave my sins and I can go to heaven someday”. That made my Day if not whole week.

Club 3

We had 1 new child today at this club and 3 who had not been there much at all only two of them really know much of the answers, mostly because they were the only two school agers there and the rest were 3-4 years old.  But non the less they all learned a lot. In the whole week we had 3 accept Christ as savoir. Funny story (one of the teachers asked the kids today what does grace mean? One of the little boys said “it means we can’t have soda” not sure where he got that idea from lol).

Over all we had three wonderful and different clubs. It was such a great experience and so nice to see kids I haven’t seen for a whole year.

Prayer requests

   1)      Continued work in the life's of the kids we ministered to this week
   2)      For the seven children who accepted Christ as savior this week
   3)      For the other teachers on my team as they take a week brake, that it will be relaxing and they will come back refreshed and ready to go.
   4)      For me as I travel to Sheboygan for three more 5-day clubs, for safe travels
   5)      For my foot, about 4 weeks ago I dropped a TV on it and I ether have nerve damage or a bruised bone and it has been bugging me the past week.

2 Timothy 1:5 I am reminded of your sincere faith, a faith that dwelt first in your grandmother Lois and your mother Eunice and now, I am sure, dwells in you as well.

5 day-club week one Wednesday post

Club one

Day 2

We had 2 girls this time and they both know Jesus as there savor and already know a lot about God. Im glad that we get to add to that foundation that they already have. They call themselves our guinea pigs for the other clubs and they like hearing about and praying for our next clubsJ. Love seeing the ministry of 5-day clubs helping raise children to love Christ like these two girls do.

Day 3

One of the girls in club is going to be 12 this year that means she is old enough that by next year she can be a jr missionary. She has also shown interest in doing so but is worried about how she is going to raise the money to go to training camp. After club me and the other 2 teachers have our lunch at a park around the corner and this time the girls joined us after they asked their parents’ permission. This was an awesome opportunity to bond with both the girls.

Club two

Day 2

Got to the club early today and Noticed that the man that has been sitting outside the house had very yellow eyes witch normally means one of two things he either does drugs or drinks a lot (but there are a lot of other medical conditions that can cause that) but the reason im sharing this is because I want you to know the kind of homes these kids come from. Today we had one come to Christ and two we assured in their faith that they can never lose it.

Day 3

Again got to club a little early and there were already kids there waiting for us. The kids have so much fun and just love us. Today we talked about how Jesus came to earth lived a perfect life and never sinned, that he died on the cross and came back to life three days later. After club I had two boys come up to me and want to accept Christ as savoir so we now have two new brothers in Christ. Praise the Lord!

Club three

Day 2

This is our daycare club today we had 5 kids and they are all very smart but still children. They know the basics of the bible and love to learn more about the bible and small facts. We all said a prayer today thanking God for saving us.

Day 3

We had 2 new girls today and one seems to not like the idea of Jesus and can be a bit of a distraction. I have been praying and hope tomorrow she will be more open to the Gospel.

Over view of the week. We have three clubs the first being a small club with two older girls who already know Jesus as savior. The second club we have is in the inner city of Racine and we have on average 16-19 children, at this club we have had three come to Christ. The last club we have is at a daycare where the kids already know a lot about the bible but love learning little facts that they might not have known before, at this club we have had three come to Christ. So in total we have had six children come to know Jesus as there savoir from sins praise be to God.

2 Timothy 3:14-15 “But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have firmly believed, knowing from whom you learned it and how from childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”

prayer requests

1) for more children at the first club
2)for the girl thinking about helping teach 5-day clubs next year, that she will pray and ask God for wisdom.
3)all the kids who have accepted Christ as savoir this week.
4) for the girl at the 3rd club to be open to the gospel of Christ.
5) for the rest of the week to go well and that me and the other two teachers will let God speak though us.

5-Day club week one Monday post

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and praying for the ministry of Christ. Today was our first day of the first week of clubs for the summer we had three clubs today 10-11:30,1-2:30 and 3:30-4:30.

Our 10-11:30 club we had just one child. She has been coming for many years and loves the club she also have a very large knowledge of the bible for an 11 year old. She also knows Jesus as her savor J. She shared with us today that she is telling her friend who is a Muslim about Jesus Christ, and the problems she is having trying to explain Christianity to her.

Our 1-2:30 club is in part of town is that is not the best. We had 18 children today and they are full of energy. Its so great to see all there smiling faces, and see them learning about a God that loves them. Today as we were leaving club we saw police cars outside the house 2 doors down and someone in handcuffs, but what do I see on the front porch is one of our 5-day club teachers inviting the children to club tomorrow. Its great to know that we can be used by God to brake the chains in family’s.

Our 3:30-4:30 club is a daycare club and we had 9 children in this club. They were all very well behaved and already knew a lot about the bible. In this club we had three children accept Christ as there savor. PRAISE GOD!!!!!!!

Over all this is going to be an awesome week and I expect to see more children to accept Christ as there savoir. They will also learn more about God and how much he loves them.

Prayer requests
   1)      That we will have more children at our first club at 10-11:30
   2)      For the girl at our first club to have strength and wisdom to tell others about Jesus.
   3)      For the two children on the porch at the second club to come
   4)      For all the children at the second club to know that God is with them all the time and loves them very much.
   5)      To brake chains of crime and violence
   6)      For the three children who accepted Christ as there savor at the second club

Again thank you all for reading this and praying for the clubs. For this summer I will post 3 times a week Monday to give you an Idea of what the clubs will be like and how you can be praying. Ill post again on Wednesday with an update and more prayer requests. Then I will post on Friday with a wrap up of the week and how you continue to pray for the kids at the clubs, this post may sometimes come Saturday dew to a meeting in Milwaukee on Friday I hope to go to every week to get some driving experience on the high way.

Children for Christ Ministry

Christ has called me into full time ministry and this summer I have decided to listen, this blog will keep you up to date with what is going on and how you can be praying. Occasionally I will post a list of needs (this list will only pertain to the ministry its self). I want to clarify that I am not starting my own ministry, but that Christ has called me to serve him with my whole life. I hope to never have to post a list of needs and too keep my blog to updates and prayer requests. As of right now I do not have a missions statement but I will work on that this summer, what I do know is that I am called to children and family ministry.

Here is my first update the past two weeks I have been at a camp being trained to be a CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) 5-day club summer missionary. This year we will be teaching the wordless book for our bible lesson. For thoughts of you who don’t know what the wordless book is, it is a group of five colors. Gold standing for heaven, dark(black) standing for sin, Red for the blood of Christ on the cross, Clean(white) standing for being washed clean of our sin, and green staining for growing in Christ. There will also be fun games bible verses to mesmerize and exciting song to sing. I want to give a shout out to my church (Immanuel Baptist Church) for supporting me in going to camp, but most importantly though out my Christian walk thank you.

You may be wondering what I will be doing after the summer the plain is to return to college at Christ Central Institute to continue my study in missions ministry. After that I feel God is calling me to intern in the south (for thoughts of you who are wondering, because I know there are a few this is not because of the weather because as you may know it gets really hot down there in the summer). Not sure what that looks like 100% right now, but I don’t need to yet. Thank you for reading this and I hope you are just as excited to see what God has planned for the future.

 Prayer requests

-Many kids will come to know Christ this summer though the 5-day club program this summer

-To work well with the people on my team to reach the most kids possible

-That God will give me words to say and I will rely on his Wisdom in the chooses that I will be making in the next year.

- That we can find a person to host a 5-day club in a trailer park in Kenosha.

Matthew 28:19-20
"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
